Isis Mobile Wallet - Review

A few weeks ago I was contacted by M80 to do write a blog post on behalf of AT&T and Isis Mobile Wallet. Of course, I jumped right on the opportunity! I had been seeing commercials for Isis Mobile Wallet for weeks, and was eager to try it out.

The day I went and got my phone (a Samsung Galaxy SIII… The Isis Mobile Wallet app only works on Androids, for now) I was super excited. Not only did I get to try out a new phone, but I got to go shopping! It was a win win, for sure.

The set up was fairly simple, thanks to the wonderful workers at my local AT&T store. They helped me load my prepaid card onto the app (you can also add credit cards! If you happen to lose your phone, you can simply contact AT&T and they will freeze all use of your Isis cards-While still allowing you to use your physical card).

I have absolutely loved using my Isis Mobile Wallet! It’s so much fun to leave my real wallet at home and just use my phone to pay for everything.

Just look at that look on my face. I was clearly excited, right?

I just wish more stores were equipped for use… Because it was kind of a hassel to only shop at stores that were Isis ready.

Disclaimer: I was given a Samsung Galaxy SIII mobile phone and $100 on a pre-paid giftcard to spend using Isis Mobile Wallet in exchange for this review. All opinions are mine.

Desktop Downloads

Hey all you wonderful readers you.
I don’t know about you, but I am so excited for the weekend. One more day! Think I can make it?

Annnyway.
Today I decided to make some desktop wallpapers to spruce up my computer screen. I mean, it’s the little things in life…Right?

Here are three I decided to make available for you to download!
Just click on the image and it should take you to the download screen. If not…Let me know and I’ll try to be techy and figure it out-No promises, though!

Deer with flowers:

Heart-Black:

Heart-Pink:

Thanks for reading!

(The heart ones were inspired by this print by Christopher David Ryan…I just made them a little more polite. But seriously, isn’t his print amazing?)

Framed burlap pin cushion

The other night I was working on my little craft closet (which, is coming together quite nicely, might I add!), and I got really sick of staring at my empty Ikea frame.

I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it…I just knew it needed something.
Luckily, I had some extra burlap from a project, so I cut a little square out and out it in there.
Only…It still looked too plain.

That’s when a lightbulb went off. I remembered that I needed a pin cushion…And HEY! That’d be easy to make. Only… I had no stuffing.

Enter paper towel.

step one: cut burlap to size.
step two: stuff crumpled paper towel in there.

PHEW. That’s it.
My kind of craft, for sure.

Also? Please ignore my awful no good horrible pictures. It was nighttime when I took them…Combine that with the fact that I craft in a closet under the stairs (with Harry Potter), and that’s as good as they could get.

Thanks for reading!

Sisters make the perfect best friend PRINTABLE

A few weeks ago, my husband and I decided that rather than make a nursery for baby girl #2, we would make a play room! We feel like toys are taking over our lives, and it is crazy.

Well, this weekend we made the move into the room, and we absolutely love it so far!
Of course, toys are still in other areas of our home, but having the majority of them upstairs in their own little space feels amazing!

So anyway…We are on a super limited budget for decorating the place. There’s just so many other things that could use our funds, so the play room will most likely end up completely DIYed…Which, of course, I have no problem with!

The first thing I decided to make for the room was a printable about sisters.
I love love love this quote, and it sums up my sister and my relationship to a T.
I can only hope my girls will be just as close as we were (and are).

For the fonts, I used fonts from this handy dandy list from Nest of Posies. To make the letters look a little more like chalk on a chalkboard, I ended up using an eraser with light opacity (14%ish) and going over the words and characters.

I really liked how it turned out! And so did my little helper, apparently.

Don’t you love her “I played all day” hair? I do. It makes me want to kiss her face all over.

But anyway!
You can download this printable by clicking the image below.
I just printed it off on regular cardstock (the print is an 8×10), but I heard sending printables to Costco to get printed really rocks…So, I’ll have to try that soon.

Thanks for reading. Have a great night!
