I saw this post on Young House Love an instantly knew I wanted to try that method out myself. I definitely didn't want to go so big since I saw theirs didn't stay together (if they can't get it to work...Who can?)
So, here's my finished product.
I love them. I wish I would have made more, but I didn't buy enough glue. Dang.
These were so easy to make, though! I just grabbed a few balloons, some white glue, and some water and went to town.
tips: I'd go with water balloons if you're trying to make these. I used regular sized balloons and they were a little lopsided. I think water balloons would be an easy fix.
Also, let the twine dry for at least two days before popping the balloon inside. If you try before then, you might end up really sad. Mine all collapsed when I tried too early.

I went missing
You guys, I am so sorry for leaving you hanging! I haven't posted in over a week and people (mainly my mom) have been wondering why.
The reason? I've been super sick. And, if we're being really honest here, I haven't had much crafting inspiration going on. Add a mixture of those two together, and you're sure to get a really awful blog.
Good news, though! I am feeling much better and my crafty side is slowly reappearing. I'll probably be posting later today about a way fun (and so easy) project that I just finished.

I love paint
So, my project that I'm showing you isn't all the way finished yet. The plan was to have it finished before I posted, but I just couldn't wait.
My mom gave me a bunch of these awesome white containers. I loved the shape, but wasn't quite feeling the white.
So, I painted one light grey. Subtle, but i like it.
Doesn't it look so much better already? I still want to paint over it with shiney Mod Podge (why can't I think of the real name? Y'know, the kind of Mod Podge I hate?) to give it a little shine. We'll see how that looks. I also want a big bow on it and maybe a little something else. We'll see.
I have big plans for this guy. I'm thinking maybe it'll have a nice home on the bathroom floor, holding toilet paper. Only time will tell.

Miscarriage Awarness Day
I know I already posted about miscarriage and still birth a few weeks ago, but tomorrow is miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss awareness day.
I thought I should share this video with you guys, and say a huge thank you to the amazing girls I have met who have experienced one (or more) of these horrible tragedies in their lives. You'll never know how much you have impacted my life. Without you ladies, I know I wouldn't have been able to move on and begin to heal my broken heart. I love you guys. So much.

Challenge Me
My post names just haven't been working for me. Wednesdays are supposed to be "What I Want Wednesday"... The problem? There's not much I want at the moment. I'm pretty content with what I've got.
That makes blogging about what I want pretty hard. I'm sure you understand...Right?
So, Wednesdays are now going to be Wordy Wednesday. Hah, or something of the sort. Maybe I'll be crazy and drop the alliteration altogether. Let's just go with the flow name wise.
Anyway, on Wednesdays I want to get to know you better (I want to get to know you better everyday, but you know) so, I'll ask a question, tell you a joke, whatever. Then, if you feel so inclined, you can give your opinion in the comments section. Easy?
So, today I'm wondering about your pets. On Monday, I posted about how my dog is the worst behaved dog in the world...I got a few emails trying to challenge that. So, if you think your dog is the worst, leave a comment with a reason why.
I can't wait to hear your stories!

1- He's basically just like Marley in the book (and movie) Marley and Me. He always tries to jump out the car window, and lately he loves to push over his food bag so it spills all over the floor, so he can get more food.

I could go on and on (and on and on) but I will spare you.

Tantalizing Tuesday- Flowers with Evan
I'm completely giddy today. I've been waiting for Tuesday to roll around so that I could introduce you to my newest friend, Evan. She is amazing at decorating cakes, and she's volunteered to teach us a few things a few times a month. I can't wait to see what else she has in store for us.

Hello "Oops, I Craft My Pants" readers! Welcome to Tantalizing Tuesday! First of all, I want to thank Erika for letting me be a part of her super awesome blog. I'm truly honored.
Now, I have a craft for you that is of the edible variety: beautiful and easy sugar flowers for your homemade cakes or cupcakes. These flowers, though not any real type of flower, are really easy to make. Depending on how long you let them set, they can be a nice cupped flower or a spread out flattened flower. I didn't have much time, so this one is flat. Oh well, it still looks nice.
You will need to purchase a couple of things to makes these flowers, but it doesn't cost much and the addition of one of these to a homemade cake makes all the difference.
Tools needed: fondant or gumpaste, curved petal cookie/fondant cutters (at least 3 sizes), small bowl with plastic wrap inside, fondant ball tool, flower-forming foam (optional; you can just use the palm of your hand), sugar flower stamens
Instructions:
1. Roll fondant or gumpaste out on a surface that has been lightly dusted with corn starch or powdered sugar. Cut 2 flowers using the largest flower cutter. Cut both in half. (I only use 3 for this part, but you can use 4 if you like.) Place one half onto the thin foam and, using your ball tool, roll the edges until they are thin and petal-like.
*Do this in the palm of your hand if you do not have foam.
*Use a toothpick or a skewer if you do not have a ball tool.
2. Fold the 3 petals towards each other (see below for example) and then place into the bowl with plastic wrap. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with two more flower halves. Use a little dab of water to "glue" all of the pieces together.
3. Cut out the two smaller flowers and thin the edges using the ball tool. 4. Place the petal rounds, largest then smallest, into the bowl on top of the large round of petals. Attach them with a dab of water. Gently press down into the center with your ball tool to make sure they are together. 5. Cut some store-bought white stamens for the flowers. Each stamen has two ends. I cut them in half and cut off a little of the unwanted ends as well. The resulting stamens were about 1/2-inch long each. 6. Stick the stamens into the flower around the center. 7. Attach a yellow ball of fondant to the very center with a dab of water. 8. Dust off the cornstarch with a soft paint brush and spray with pearl luster dust for a sparkly effect (also optional). YOU'RE FINISHED! You can let it set for a few hours or even a few days. Actually, these flowers will last for months. Have fun! Mix up the colors and show me your creations! With love, Ev

Too many toys
My dog has a lot of toys. Like, too many toys.
They used to sit cutely under my corner shelf, but my dog is the worst behaved dog in the world, so he ate the basket one day while we were gone. Great.
So, we went to Ikea in search of something to hold all his toys. There were a bunch of cute things we wanted to get, but knew that we couldn't because demon dog would ruin all of those, too. Our only hope was a black garbage can.
Um...Cute? Not so much.
So, my husband suggested Mod Podging it. And Mod Podge I did.
I'm not very happy with the outcome. I'm not sure why. Maybe it's because I used glossy Mod Podge (shudder) when I'm usually a matte kinda girl. Or, maybe it's that you can see the lines where i pieced together the paper. Maybe it's even because I feel like the top should have had the white paper. Hm...
Either way, it's better than the black garbage can, and that's a good thing.

Lookin' forward.
This post is going to be a little random, but here's a few random things to look forward to on Oops! I Craft My Pants this coming week.
1. I don't have work all week, and I don't have school after Wednesday. That equals a ton of craft time for me, and a lot of crafty posts for you. (I just got some new Mod Podge the other day that I can't wait to break open!)
2. If you haven't noticed, I have a horrible time with posting on Tantalizing Tuesday. I always skip Tuesdays because frankly, I'm an awful cook. So, instead, I'm going to have someone else post for me. This will sort of be like Friendly Friday...Only, it won't be a different person posting every week. I'm hoping to find 2-3 posters to rotate each week and give you a fun, food tutorial. If you think that you have an awesome food blog and would like to possibly be a poster on Tuesdays, email me and we'll talk. This Tuesday, my newest blog friend Evan will be showing you all how to make edible flowers to decorate cakes with. I. CAN'T. WAIT.
3. Oops! I Craft My Pants is now on Twitter. You can find me under the user name ICraftMyPants. I'm bummed the "Oops" couldn't fit in the name, but oh well!

Friendly Friday
Greetings, Oops! I Craft My Pants (off) readers. This is Marian (AKA Miss Mustard Seed) from Mustard Seed Creations. It is such an honor to swap blogs with my new blog friend, Erika, for Friendly Friday. She is one crafty and talented lady. Did you see the Modge Podge shoes...who knew?!
Anyway, I am a stay-at-home wife and mother of two toddlers under the age of three. Both boys. I'm a busy girl.
I love expensive style, but I do not have a big budget for decorating. I learned years ago that if I wanted a rich look I had to learn to make things myself. Through books & lots of mistakes I learned how to sew, paint, use power tools, and bargain shop. In 2008, my friends and family finally convinced me that other people would pay for my services and the products I create. Mustard Seed Creations was born and has blossomed beyond my expectations.
Yada, yada...on to the pictures! I love a great transformation, so I decided to share some before & after pictures with you.
