Friendly Friday

Greetings, Oops! I Craft My Pants (off) readers. This is Marian (AKA Miss Mustard Seed) from Mustard Seed Creations. It is such an honor to swap blogs with my new blog friend, Erika, for Friendly Friday. She is one crafty and talented lady. Did you see the Modge Podge shoes...who knew?!

Anyway, I am a stay-at-home wife and mother of two toddlers under the age of three. Both boys. I'm a busy girl.

I love expensive style, but I do not have a big budget for decorating. I learned years ago that if I wanted a rich look I had to learn to make things myself. Through books & lots of mistakes I learned how to sew, paint, use power tools, and bargain shop. In 2008, my friends and family finally convinced me that other people would pay for my services and the products I create. Mustard Seed Creations was born and has blossomed beyond my expectations.

Yada, yada...on to the pictures! I love a great transformation, so I decided to share some before & after pictures with you.

A brass builder-grade chandelier gets a chic new look with a glue gun, spray paint, and scrap fabric. Click on the "after" picture to find out how.

I explain why friends don't let friends do crackle in this vanity makeover.

A broken down vanity (bought for $3.00) becomes a romantic pair of side tables.

The horrible colors I inherited in my master bedroom become my favorite...blue & white.

I hope my story and pictures are an inspiration to you. Now, go and get crafty!

I didn't catch that side-tables-out-of-a-broken-down-vanity post, Marian, so I'm glad you mentioned it here. That looks fantastic; love it! The chandelier is a great project. I love seeing how people paint those brass fixtures out.
