Keeping Up With Housework

Anyway, I've been trying to come up with an easy way to keep up with my housework.

As I've mentioned a billion times before, it's so hard for me to find a balance with a new baby around. I just want to cuddle her all day long. And, when I'm not cuddling her, I'm usually on my computer replying to emails or Facebooking. I don't know, I guess cleaning is usually the LAST thing on my mind.

Thankfully, I found this awesome thing called Self Control. No really, that's what it's called. And, it blocks the Internet for however long you want it to. Seriously, it's so simple, but yet, so genius.

I've been using it a lot lately to help me keep up on my cleaning. See, instead of cleaning one day, I made this print out.



I just printed it out once and put it in a sheet protector. That way, I can use a dry erase marker and check off every thing as it gets done.

Seriously, this thing has helped so much! But, still I feel like I'm falling behind.

What are your tips for keeping up with your housework and every thing else in your busy life?

My Favorite Corner

I have been itching to create lately. It has been far far faaar too long since I saw down and took that special crafting time for myself. I definitely have so many ideas flooding my head, and I can't wait to tackle at least one of them.

Seriously, I have such a newfound respect for mommy craft bloggers. It baffles me how they get it all done. And, secretly, I think that maybe they have an extra arm (or two) attached to themselves and that's how they're getting everything done. I don't know though. I'm still working on proving that theory.

Anyway, I know I've already shared our nursery with you guys, but now I just wanted to show you my favorite corner of it.



Ah, I just love it. It is the perfect place to cuddle my girl. My best memories with my baby were made in that very chair. And, those bookshelves still kill me. I want them all over. Domestic Simplicity was seriously genius when she came up with the idea. And, that banner. Oh my goodness. I can't even form words about it. My mom is the best for making it for baby E (and me).

What's your favorite corner in your house? Do you have one? Maybe I'm just weird.

Hey guys. My posting has still been pretty patchy. Sorry about that. I promise I'm still thinking about you. 

Anyway, I've had a few emails about my back to school lotions from last year.

Also, I wanted to let you know that I started a new linky party on my other blog. I would love for you to join it. It's just a small one where we all post ONE goal for the week, then go visit each other and offer support. I think it'll be a great way to meet some new friends because the party is focusing on writing, and not so much on pictures. I'm super excited about it.
