My Favorite Corner

I have been itching to create lately. It has been far far faaar too long since I saw down and took that special crafting time for myself. I definitely have so many ideas flooding my head, and I can't wait to tackle at least one of them.

Seriously, I have such a newfound respect for mommy craft bloggers. It baffles me how they get it all done. And, secretly, I think that maybe they have an extra arm (or two) attached to themselves and that's how they're getting everything done. I don't know though. I'm still working on proving that theory.

Anyway, I know I've already shared
our nursery with you guys, but now I just wanted to show you my favorite corner of it.

Ah, I just love it. It is the perfect place to cuddle my girl. My best memories with my baby were made in that very chair. And, those bookshelves still kill me. I want them all over. Domestic Simplicity was seriously genius when she came up with the idea. And, that banner. Oh my goodness. I can't even form words about it. My mom is the best for making it for baby E (and me).

What's your favorite corner in your house? Do you have one? Maybe I'm just weird.

  1. It's so embarrassing I can't even type it out! Seriously, it's that bad. But I hope you get your wallet!
I love your little corner. It looks like the perfect spot to rock a baby.

  2. I'm not sure what my most embarassing moment is, but I know those mesh underwear after giving birth and the Depends-size pads are the worst!! Ugh. They never felt like they fit in the back since they're not really fitted. And then I just felt so exposed... even though no one could see them!

I hope you get a lot of comments! I *never* comment on blogs, so hopefully this is a sign lots of people will :)

  4. Kudos to you for posting your most embarrassing moment on your Blog! No way I'm doing the same though :) Stores like your boutique are so inspiring, I will go out of my way to stop in and see what kind of new decorations they've put up.

  5. My most embarrassing moment is in seventh grade when I went to the wrong lunch and walked into my math class halfway through. It wasn't that bad but oh those middle school years made it the end of the world!

  6. I love this book storage idea for my baby's room! And I hear ya on the mesh panties and huge pad thing... I just went through all that 3 and a half months ago... :) Good luck getting more posts!

  7. I have too many embarrassing moments to choose which one to share!

I love that spice rack idea for bookshelves! I have a spice rack (with jars) filled with buttons in my studio. It always amazes me how we all see an object differently.

And I didn't just comment so you could get the wallet. I just think you are fab :)!

  9. When I was a brownie, so like maybe 6/7 years old, I was out selling girl guide cookies with my sister and her friend. I had to pee but I was shy and wasn't going to ask someone to use their washroom.
The next house we came to had the sprinkler on the lawn so I figured if I just peed they would think it was the sprinkler...except I was on the step and the sprinkler was nowhere close. The lady brought me inside, cleaned me up and I had to wear her three year olds underwear... I was mortified!!

  10. Remember that one time you came to the hospital to visit me after I had Eli and I accidentally mooned you with my big postpregnant butt? Yeah, that was embarrassing:)

  11. this is real. one time i went to a friend's fam reunion and i was really sick with diarrhea so the ride there was... painful. anyway so we arrive at the house we are staying at only to realize that there is only one bathroom to share between like 20 people. so i run to the bathroom once it's open and spend like 30 minutes in there with the water on. worst.

    ps. hope you win!

  15. I I've been embarrassed so many times I can't even think of one. Maybe the time I walked into my classroom and fa&^%$&rted, thinking I was alone, then realizing there were two workers fixing the wall plug.

    Ya.

  18. I definitely try to not remember my most embarassing moments. But I think my most embarassing baby moment would be the diaper explosion at Christmas Eve service all over her white outfit and having to walk out holding her at arms length.

  20. I am SO copying that spice rack idea. One of my embarrassing moments from high school was trying to honk and wave while driving, and accidentally driving up over the curb onto a friend's lawn. :)

  21. most embarassing moment-hitting reply after typing in a message instead of forward with a new email address-not something i wanted the original sender to see!

  22. Probably when my daughter was a toddler and 3 buttons on my shirt were undone and I didn't realize it. We were at the grocery store. We're not talking the buttons by the neck either... apparently I was, uhm, bustier than I thought. I got really good customer service {and some pretty crazy looks}!

  24. Hi....love your cozy cuddle corner and the book racks are ingenious! Snuggle with your babe as much as you want - they aren't that little for very long - the housework can wait (well, a lot of it can). As for embarrassing moments, there have been so many over the years....but one that comes to mind is typing an e-mail message to a close friend where I talked about someone else....then inadvertently sent it to the "someone else.". I was mortified! Lucky the message wasn't nasty or hurtful, but it was still horribly embarrassing! I'm pretty obsessive about checking before I send anything now.

  27. I had to pee in a cup while in a 15 passenger mini van on a youth group trip. (We couldn't stop or pull over- I don't even remember why now.) Never in my life been so mortified! :)

I love your corner - the book shelves are absolutely perfect! What a convenient idea! We just have a bunch of books piled next to the chair. :-/ I'll have to see what I can do about that... Thanks for posting!
