Anyway, I've been trying to come up with an easy way to keep up with my housework.
Thankfully, I found this awesome thing called Self Control. No really, that's what it's called. And, it blocks the Internet for however long you want it to. Seriously, it's so simple, but yet, so genius.
I've been using it a lot lately to help me keep up on my cleaning. See, instead of cleaning one day, I made this print out.
I just printed it out once and put it in a sheet protector. That way, I can use a dry erase marker and check off every thing as it gets done.
Seriously, this thing has helped so much! But, still I feel like I'm falling behind.
What are your tips for keeping up with your housework and every thing else in your busy life?
(The program Self Control didn't pay or perk me to write this post. I just really like it!)
I have used Flylady for awhile (flylady.com) and I have sort of flew off on my own thing. It's always fun for me to PLAN to clean, but then I never follow it.
ReplyDeleteI don't know if you're like me with cleaning but I'm not too crazy about it and systems usually don't work. But the habits that I have learned through Flylady have helped me now...even though I don't do her whole program (I have morning/evening routines that I sort of fell into...didn't purposely create them, I do laundry daily to keep it under control, and I clean the bathrooms every morning...toilet inside & out...mirrors, sink, floor around toilet -I have boys.)
Have you ever used flylady before?
I am the sort of person where I find more self-satisfaction by making a list and being able to cross items off as I do them. Laundry, bathrooms, etc. And if I do something that wasnt on my list, I ADD IT! And cross it off anyway!! It keeps me motivated so see everything I have gotten done :)
ReplyDeleteAny chance I could get a copy of your template? I'd love to hang this up in my house, but I'm no good with the computer.
