Okay, okay. It's not FOR SURE yet because our loan is still in underwriting, but I thought if I told you I was moving, I would have better luck.
So, I'm moving next week.
I haven't started packing yet, but I WILL move. Okay?
Alright, now that that is established, I feel the need to tell you that my future new home (which, I'll be moving into next week, by the way) is going to have its very own craft room. Seriously. I am so excited. I guess this is the one good thing that comes from not having any kids-- I get a craft room! A place to CRAFT! yayayay (this also means I will have to start crafting again, but we will cross that bridge when we come to it).
Thankfully, we have the internet. More importantly, we have Google. Which means I can search for craft room inspiration at any given time. Life is good.
Here are a few of my favorite craft rooms so far.

Also, how would you feel about me consolidating all my blogs together on this blog (this blog, Crafts in Bloom, C'mon let's book it, and my family blog)...It would be lots easier for me, and I would be able to post more often on this blog (which is my favorite one, don't tell the others). Would that be too annoying? Would you rather not know about my personal life? Let me know! Comment on this post and/or vote in the poll on my side bar. I would love your input.
(ps. Please cry with me if we don't end up getting this house)
Congrats on the (crossing my fingers for you) new home! I love those craft room pics. Here are some other ones I found that I love:

yum.
Stop it, Alisa! Those are absolutely perfect. I'm drooling here.
ReplyDeleteGirl, life's too short to be worrying about so many blogs! Yes, combine them all, so you have more time to use that craft room once you get it! I, personally, like seeing all the info in one blog!
ReplyDeleteAwesome craft room. It's perfect!!! I want it too:D
ReplyDeleteI am in the same boat. Trying to figure out how my craft room will work best for me. Have you seen the Crafty Storage blog. It is a blog that is dedicated to craft room setups and storage options. Very inspiring.
ReplyDeleteLOVE the Pottery Barn ones! I just moved and now I have no craft room :( well, I share the room with the washer and dryer...depressing really! I need to spruce it up. Back you you though...I am sure you have seen this blog, but just in case http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com/
ReplyDeleteShe actually just posted plans to build the pb furniture in your pics...YOURSELF! Lots of $$$$ saved!!
Good Luck on the house, I hope everything comes through!
Love all of them. I think it would be okay to consolidate your blogs. Why not?
ReplyDeleteI like the flickr one best, with the Pottery Barn ones a close second and the last one not at all. The last one doesn't appeal because a)it looks like year-round Valentine's Day to me and b) realistically speaking, have you EVER seen a true crafting room that was so monochromatic? I mean, it's cute and clean and all, but realistically speaking you'd either go crazy trying to cram all your other colors out of the way or would give up and end up with a multi-chromatic room in the end anyways. Now that I look again though, I think I really like the second PB picture...that middle table is pretty spiffy. Bonus points if it could somehow extend so you could lay out bigger projects too.
ReplyDeleteI love the overall look of the first Pottery Barn pic.
ReplyDeleteI think the tall work space of the second Pottery Barn pic is a great idea - some crafting is better done standing up!
And the wall color of the flickr pic really pops!
They work space in the last pic isn't practical for crafting - it's too small.
I can't wait to see what you come up with!
I love crisp white craft rooms! You are so Lucky! But I saw that you liked the pottery barn table and I just so happened to see http://knockoffwood.blogspot.com/2010/02/plans-bedford-project-table-top-with.html the other day. Great way to save money on the table and put that money into more crafty goodness.
ReplyDeleteyou definitely need to go here:
ReplyDeletehttp://www.kevinandamanda.com/photos/scraproom/new/
and drool over amanda's scrapbooking room. it's amazing! love it!
good luck on the loan shenanigans!
I think I like the first one just because there's a lot of floor space. It might be just because of the angle of the picture though. I just need a lot of space because I usually end up doing things on the floor. Good luck! And I don't mind hearing about your personal life. It would be great to get to know you better!
ReplyDeleteOh but can you keep the name if you do put all your blogs in one? I just love the idea of "crafting" my pants!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE this craft room

she stamps but I have used a few of her ideas and long for a room like this:)
Jealous. I want a craft room so bad. My supplies are currently taking over every other room :)
ReplyDeleteWe are moving in a couple of weeks too! How exciting, hoping for the best for your new place.
ReplyDeleteI really like that blue room. Kristin
Oh wow, so my heart skipped a beat when I saw that first picture. Sigh, I can't wait to have a room like that! I like it because it has plenty of space, is pretty, but very practical. Anywho, I think you should combine blogs. For you, it's easier. For us, it's like combining 3 blogs into one! Win win for all! The only problem(s) I see for you is folks who don't want to read personal posts and maybe the book club, if they're not into it. That's my 2 cents! Good luck on the house!
ReplyDeleteI love the third one! The teal is so pretty and bright and every little thing has it's own little place with o much color and pretty! I love it!
ReplyDeleteI like the second one-Islands are great! Oh-and knockoffwood.blogspot has the free plans to build all the furniture in the second pic so you can actually make it a reality without spending ridiculous amounts to make a great craft room!
ReplyDeleteOh, but I love the blue walls in the other pic.
Wow, here's some gorgeous rooms <3 <3 <3 My favorite is the pink one as I love some color to inspire me :D There's also few pics from my craft room at my blog if you want to see :D
ReplyDeleteSmiles from Finland,
Piia
I love this blog, and I think it would be great if you combined your blogs. I decided that i was only going to have one blog, and while I am totally new at it and have few followers so far, I am having a blast. But I know that I could only do one, or else I would never post!
ReplyDeleteI really like how the blue craft room is organized...but I might go for blues and browns personally. :)
I love the first picture ... it's so clean and organized looking!
ReplyDeleteI love the first one too. I saved it to my computer because our new home has an extra bedroom and it is my craft room. I love it but it isn't finished.
ReplyDeleteCombine the blogs. It will make it easier for you and easier for me keep up.
My favorite is the first one - I could really use something like that in our new house.
ReplyDeleteI found this one on Flickr the other day after I read your post and pretty much I would be thrilled to live in this room forever.

Combine all of your blogs into one. Soo much easier. I vote for either of the Pottery Barn rooms. So cute!
ReplyDelete(I just found your blog and I have to say I just LOVE the title! So funny!)
sending lucky and happy thoughts your direction! GOOD LUCK!!!
ReplyDeletelove the craft rooms. if only... :)
wow these are all AMAZING! I can only dream of having one of those! I hope you get the house. We were going through the same thing 6 months ago and ONE finally pulled through!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could say my OWN craft room is cuter, BUT...I don't have a craft room. I'm so excited for you, though! And, I'm really loving all the space that the first craft room has.
ReplyDeleteJenn
How fun for a new house.
ReplyDeleteI am voting on the first two pictures.
They are nice and bright to work in!
I just found your blog, and I will return.
Someday I will have the energy to make a project. I so want to....I am just NOT creative.
wow! the first one is amazing :)
ReplyDeleteI found your blog through etsy interviews and just wanted to say hi and that you have a new follower! Have a beautiful weekend!

I have been wanting a craft room like this forEVER....
ReplyDeleteHopefully I'll get one sooner or later. Til then my craft room is stuck in Adisyn (my daughters) room for now (i live in an apartment) ugh.
Beautiful rooms though with sooo many organization ideas..

Just found your blog. I saw that name and had to come right over.
ReplyDeleteCombine all your stuff in one place, you have enough to do with the new place and all.
That poop post made me think of the time a group of us kids collected a whole bucket full of toads when i lived in Va Beach. We then went to the neighborhood grouch and dumped them out on his porch and rand the doorbell and rang.
Nowhere near as much fun as poop in a bag, but I guess you had to be there.
And I like those rooms, the first one is a fave. I do have a room/studio all my own but if it ever looked that tidy I would not let anyone go in there...including myself.
Congrats on the new house. And I like the wreath. Coolest color.
