for my friend

The other day, a friend of mine let me know that she was interested in learning more about what I believe. I was ecstatic. So, I asked her if she would like a copy of my favorite book. When she said yes, I went out right that second and bought her one and told her I would ship it out the next day.
When I got home with the book, I knew that I needed to jazz it up a bit. Not because the book doesn't speak for itself, but because I have a problem and I can't leave anything uncraftified.

So, I whipped out my paper collection, my handy dandy Mod Podge, and some little do dads and went to work. I'm lovin' the finished result, and I hope she does, too.
Of course, I couldn't leave out a Mod Podged pencil. No way. You know how much I love decoupaged supplies!
And, what's a good book without a bookmark?
...And a clasp?

Of course, I threw in a CTR ring, for good measure.
Phew!
Now, it's ready to be shipped.

**Would you like your very own copy of this book? Shoot me an email, and I can send one to you for free. It may not be as pretty, but I can promise you that the content inside will be just as wonderful.

Mrs. Newby, I did! It was really messy, but now that it's dry it works perfectly and sharpens like a normal pencil!

I have honestly never thought of crafting on a Book of Mormon, but why not? Good luck to your friend in reading and finding out for herself! I hope you wrote inside!

Beautiful, the small story this lead to, the example you have lead, the fancied up BOM, the darling knob, all of the above. Do tell if there is a good ending. Jenn

I would love a copy of the book! I grew up in Utah so you would think that I would already have one, but I don't. Most of my family is LDS but my parents never went to church so neither did my siblings or I. I'm in San Diego now and I would love for my son to grow up in the church... Anyway, if you are still offering I would love a copy. You can email me at harrison.jamie(at)yahoo(dot)com

Thank you!

This is great! I'd love to have a Book of Mormon like this to decorate my front room or bedside table.

Ryan and LeDawn

super cute idea! My mom use to get so mad at me because I would put stickers of Jesus on my quad and draw with milk pens (remember those?) all over it. I think she would have much preferred I did this. :) It looks great!

fawndear

That turned out beautiful! Love that book--and awesome that you are letting others know about it so they can get their own copies as well. That's great!

Okay, Erika, I am amazed by you!! This is adorable! I did this for a project once, but it did not look even a fraction of how cute yours turned out! I love it!

So this is the cutest thing I have ever seen! I did this for a service project once and it didn't turn out even a fraction of how cute yours did. This is adorable! I admire you...a LOT!
