I hate these types of posts I'm about to do. Like, absolutely hate. I feel like they're completely self-centered and annoying. But, due to a high volume of questions, I thought I should answer a few on this here blog.
About Crafting.
Q: What's your favorite Mod Podge to use? Why?
A: I'm a big fan of the Matte finish. I feel like it makes projects look more put together and I also think it sticks a LOT better than Gloss does.
Q: Do you sew?
A: I know how-- a little bit. But, I'm scared to get really into it for some reason. It's one of my goals to get over that in the near future, though.
Q: Where do you get inspiration for your crafts?
A: Everywhere. Seriously. I get inspiration in the most random places sometimes. Once I get that inspiration, I have to run with the idea or else it never gets done.
About Blogging
Q: Why do you blog?
A: I blog because it makes me happy. I have like, 5 private blogs that no one knows about. It feels good to get on those blogs and type away. I think it's a great outlet for me. Not to mention, I love the people I meet through blogging.
Q: Do you hope your blog gets really big one day?
A: It would be cool, but it's not the reason for this blog. I write this blog, in particular, because I like to craft and I like to blog. A craft blog just seems logical, right?
Q: Who designed your awesome blog background?

About my Life
Q: I bet you have a lot a free time since you don't have kids. Is that true?
A: I have two jobs (substitute teacher and after school teacher), and I also go to school full time.
Q: You've been married like, 2 years right? So why don't you have any kids?
A: (Ouch) Short answer: we can't get pregnant
Long answer: We were pregnant with twins last February (they took 8 months to conceive) and miscarried. We've been trying ever since with no luck. Yes, we're seeing doctors. Yes, we're thinking about other options. It's not our choice to be childless.
Q: Anything exciting going on in your life right now (maybe like, a pregnancy?)
A: Big nope to the pregnancy (see above) but big YES to exciting things going on in our lives. We are in the process of buying our first house, and will hopefully close on the 25th! Next Thursday!
There you have it. Your burning questions answered. Still no crafts, sorry!

Someone really asked why you don't have kids or even said you have more time because you don't have kids? That's wrong! FYI, my daughter is an IVF w/ICSI baby. We tried two more IVFs after her and an FET. So far she is an only child.
Now that your done answering questions go craft your pants off!

I'm shocked that you get these questions. I get lots of email questions, but no one has ever asked why we don't have kids after 2 years or if I have lots of free time without them. Yikes! People are crazy.
How exciting about your house! I dream of the day I will move into a house, but I've only been married less than 2 years, so I can wait ;)

I would say I can't believe people asked you those questions regarding having to much free time or about pregnancy, but it took us three years to get pregnant and by then we had been married for four years. So, yes I totally believe you when you say people really asked you those questions. I've been asked them and then some. We have two babies in heaven as well.

Wanted to share that I found your blog today. Ironically, I have been emailing back and forth today with a lady who LOST bidding on one of my ebay items. We discussing crafting. She suggested that I should start a crafting blog. Never heard of such a thing! We also discussed how she was also contemplating modpodging her ceiling fan. I just went to google something and accidentally hit the Reader button. Had no idea what that was. Your crafting blog showed up AND I scrolled down and Voila! A mod podged ceiling fan! This has been one of those Eery coincidence moment. Looking forward to following your blog!

I'm sorry you receive questions such as those you answered above. I applaud you for actually answering them, but truthfully you owe them no explanations. I'm a firm believer that if people WANT to share, they will. To ask such personal questions is nothing but ignorant.
I have been a follower of your blog for a long while now...I am a HUGE fan! I admire your honesty about fertility problems. My husband and I have also had 3 years of infertility problems and a miscarriage. You are not alone. Keep your chin up!
It was fun reading about the person behind the blog. I am sorry that you had such a painful experience with your twins. My grandmother, and two aunties all lost a set of twins. My grandmother and one of the aunties also had numerous pregnancies that ended in tradegy, but they also gave birth to healthy children who were able to grow up and have their own children too.
I hope readers don't think they can just know you inside and out enough to pry in to your life that way! Way to handle it well, and be frank, and positive at the same time! You're a wonderful blog writer.
I came upon your blog a while ago and have been following it. I love reading about your craft projects and hope to try some of them soon. I'm so sorry to hear about your journey in infertility. I suffered thru that for 5 years before we were able to conceive via IVF. Just keep the faith. There is a plan for all of us and I pray that your plan brings you children soon. It can be hard to stay positive sometimes, but a positive attitude can bring positive results. Sending lots and lots of baby dust your way!
