How was your weekend? Mine was great. Well, I mean, besides my whole little family being sick and it being too cold to go outside. But, ya know…Minor details, right?
Anyway! Last week, of course, you guys wowed me again with what you linked up to “Tute”-in Tuesday!
There were so many mooch worthy projects!
This entertainment center by Holly Do, in particular, practically called out my name, though!

Right after I saw it, I remembered that my sister snatched up this little guy from the side of the road for me a few weeks ago.
I think it would be perfect under my T.V. Like, absolutely amazing, even!
The only things is-I didn’t get around to painting it yet (because of the sickness and the snow, remember? bleh!)
So, I thought it would be fun to ask for YOUR opinion on what color I should paint it! I love the idea of adding more color to my home…I kind of want to paint it a mustard yellow. But, my couch is red. Wouldn’t that be a little McDonald’sy? I don’t know! What are your thoughts?
I’m the worst at this kind of stuff!

Thanks for showing off my entertainment center! I’m so excited. Can’t wait to see your finished product, mustard yellow would be amazing, I love that color. Add a dark color, like charcoal gray, black or a glaze and no will think “McDonald’s!!”
Could you paint it white, then the mustard over the top, then sand off a teensy bit to get the white under? Might retract from any McDonalds theme.
What about green? An olive green? But I am also very partial to blacks and dark grays right now!
I LOVE the idea of mustard yellow!!! accent with greys or blues with some pillows and forget mcdonalds! Unless you have a clown in your living room (which would be uber creepy) then you should be totally fine!

I like the mustard yellow too. What if your paint it that red to match the couch then yellow wash it. ( like whitewash) I like the thought of beating it with a chain kind of making it distress.
I was thinking red or black, with the mustard over it, distressed to reveal the undercolor and a dark glaze. I think as long as it comes out mustardy and not bright, screaming yellow that you can avoid the McDonald’s vibe.
