Lately, I have been feeling extremely guilty for never posting on this blog. And, it's really stressing me out.
Everyday, I think to myself "Okay, Erika! Today is the day that you are going to get a craft up on Oops! I Craft My Pants"...And, it just never happens.

In fact, thinking those things just makes it even harder for me to get my crafting supplies out. I feel like crafting has become something I do "for the blog", and not for my sanity, like it used to be. And, honestly, I don't like that.

I've been talking a lot to my husband about these feelings... And, thankfully, he let me know my feelings were valid (PHEW!) and that he noticed a change in me and my relationship with crafts. Specifically, I avoid them like the plaque now.

Isn't that so incredibly sad?

So, in effort to regain my love affair with crafting, I have decided to take a break from this blog. I know, I know, it seems like I have already been on a break...But, this break I'm planning is long term. I'm not sure when I'll start posting again, or even IF I will start posting again on this blog. I thought I should let you amazing readers know, and not just leave you hanging here without an explanation.

I'd also like to tell you all how extremely grateful I am for you. When I started this blog, I honestly didn't expect anyone to read it. I also didn't expect to meet so many wonderful people whom I can now call my friends. I am extremely lucky to have the readers that I have, and want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for being there for me and this little ol' blog. You mean the world to me!

Again, thank you, thank you, THANK YOU for your love and support. It means the world to me.

Please feel free to stay in touch. I would love to hear from you via email, and I will still be blogging over on my family blog, so don't be a stranger!

That takes a lot of courage to admit the truth. Now you won't have those feelings of guilt that run inside your head when you feel obligated to post. I'm proud of you my little chickadee.

Now, you can focus on bringing my little granddaughter into this world! Hahaha! Plus, your family blog is pretty darned cute too.

Love you!

I don't blame you. Plus, you're pregnant? That's all the more excuse. Growing a human saps your energy!

I always wonder how all the crafty/sewy bloggers keep it up. This just proves you are human. breaks are a good thing.

I'll miss you, but follow your family blog. I like both types of blogs so I'll live.

Wow, you just described EXACTLY how I feel! I'm trying to come up with a solution other than taking a break though..because there is something about blogging that I still like. I don't know what that solution is yet!

Have a nice break, and rekindle your love of crafting for the sake of creating! I wish you all the best! (Hugs)

There are no rules to blogging, no matter what anyone else says. You do it when you feel inspired, and that's when it is best. Enjoy your days. I'll keep checking back as I go through my list.

I will miss your posts. But i agree... if it does not bring you peace and a certain passion - then you need to re-evaluate. I hope your break brings you back to doing what you love to do - with that love back in place. I certainly will miss you and selfishly I hope you do come back to post some more... but understand! GOOD LUCK and keep us posted on your new endeavors with your blog redesign - I would love to talk to you sometime about my blog if you're still doing it! GOOD LUCK!!

I hope you will be back, but I sure do know how you feel. I've had these same thoughts lately about my blogging. Balancing life is difficult.

Have a good rest, remember to blog when your heart tells you too, not on a schedule!
Happy Easter!

I have totally felt like this and have taken breaks. It used to bother me that I wasn't building followers but it was turning into something that wasn't fun anymore and that's NOT why we create! So go be crafty for the fun of it. JenT

If you decide not to post anymore, will you be deleting your blog entirely?
