Bloomin'

The other week, I was at Home Depot just browsing around. While in the paint department, I came across the new Behr paint swatches. I loved that they were shaped like leaves. I found them very endearing. So, I grabbed a bunch. (note: When I say "a bunch", I mean A BUNCH. Like...I almost was embarrassed by how many I had in hand)... Thankfully, the lovely folks are Home Depot didn't seem to mind.
When I got home, I took out a piece of wood I had stashed in my "craft room" and painted it white. After that, I used some glue dots to start gluing my Behr chips to the board. I ended up with a flower. It only seemed fitting to use a Sharpie to write the word "Bloom" onto the board, as well.
Easy Peasy. Just how I like my projects.

  19. I found these swatches last year and I grabbed the reds and pinks and some greens... I made something similar to this for my daughter's room. I didn't take pics though ;(. My friend came over and wanted me to make her one too- they didn't have those colors in the swatches anymore. :/ So I ended up giving it to her. (since my dd is 3 and could care less) Very cute! If anyone sees the pinks and reds again... point me to 'em! :D

And the fact that these were already leaf shaped? Fabulous! I thought you had cut each one of them into the shape you wanted.
