Four Presents

**Don’t forget the giveaway is going on until tomorrow (Tuesday) at 10 pm MST. There’s still time to enter!

Can I first begin by saying how excited I am that it’s after Thanksgiving and I can now begin posting crafts related to Christmas? Be still my heart. Really. Anyway…

The Christmas budget is a little tight this year. So, my husband and I decided to implement a new tradition for presents. We’ve seen this idea floating around the internet, and knew it would be perfect for us and our itty bitty wallets.

It’s the WANT. NEED. WEAR. READ. plan. Four presents, one in (you guessed it) each of those categories.

Once that plan was finalized, I decided to make a few little gift tags using images I found on Google. Now, all I need to do is print them off, Mod Podge ’em to some cardboard, hole punch them, and add some cute ribbon. So easy, but so fun.

What would you ask for in each of these categories? I am drawing a huge blank. I really can’t think of anything I want besides lots of family time (aw). OH! And a book light. I’m so interesting.

(You can find some super cute gift tags that say want, need, wear, read on Etsy if printing them off isn’t your thaang.)

Black Friday Giveaway

What’s better on Black Friday than something FREE? I know I love that word, and I hope you guys do, too.

Alisa (of Mod Printables) contacted me the other day about giving away a free card design on my blog, and I was sold. She does such an amazing job on all her cards, and they’re sure to impress your family and friends.

All Mod Printable cards are delivered to you digitally, so you can print them off yourself and save some money.

Want a second entry? Let me know which Mod Printables card is your favorite. (leave a second comment for this)
Want one last entry? Blog about Mod Printables and spread the word! (leave another comment with a link to your blog)

Winners will be chosen on Tuesday at 10 pm MST.

What Would Thanksgiving Be

…Without a “What I’m Thankful For” post?

I’m pretty sure I would be shunned from the blogging community for a least a year until I was able to redeem myself. That wouldn’t be good.

So, here we go. Five things I’m thankful for (if I were an exceptional blogger, I would have listed 26, one for everyday of the month until now…But, unfortunately, I’m not going to go above and beyond today)

-I’m thankful for my husband. He’s the best and is always so supportive of me crafting and blogging. In fact, he helps me brainstorm ideas and makes sure I am posting on a (semi) regular basis. I love him so much.

-I’m thankful for my family. All of them. They’re always there for me when I need them, and they are the funniest people in the entire world. Not to mention, they’re incredibly giving. Today we’re tying a quilt for the Homeless Shelter and I. CAN’T. WAIT.

-I’m thankful for my pets who make me laugh and are constantly ready to cuddle.

-I’m thankful for school so that I can continue my education and push myself to finish the many assignments that I need to. It’s nice to have something that is challenging and rewarding at the same time.

And last (you knew this was coming)

-I’m thankful for YOU for continually reading this blog, even though sometimes I don’t post for long periods of time. I’m thankful for your emails and comments and for the opportunity this blog has given me to meet some really really great people. You guys are truly the best readers a girl could ask for.

Meet My Step Sister, Abbie

So, as you know…I’m awful at posting lately. Between school, work, homework, and everything else life throws at me, I just haven’t had much time to craft. It’s been really depressing for me. But, things are slowly (but surely) getting less busy and I hope to be posting more regularly soon. (Do I pretty much say that every post?)…Anyway, today I’m letting my step sister, Abbie post on my blog. I thought you guys would LOVE her (I do) because she’s a really good crafter. Hopefully she doesn’t completely show me up every week. Here she is.

Hello Oops, I Crafted My Pants readers! I’m Abbie and I’m really excited to be hanging out in Erika’s neck of the woods today. She’s the best, I tell you, the BEST!

So, I’ve been playing with the idea of creating a craft blog, but I wasn’t sure if I should do it or not. I post a lot of my crafts on my blog, but I wanted a place where I could just focus on things I’ve made. Anyway, I was chatting with Erika about my blog dilemma and she said I could post here every Wednesday! Deal! Just another reason to love that girl!

Here’s my first official craft on Oops, I Crafted My Pants Off! Hope you enjoy!

The Super Girlie toy box:

How I did it:

1. Buy Mala toy box from IKEA
2. 2 layers of paint on edges. I used Peony Pink - American brand. Love this color. So girlie and bright.
3. Mod Podge on top of paint to seal it.
4. Cut Perm Teal Lace cardstock (KI Memories brand) to fit, then (matte) Mod Podge it to the lid and sides.
5. One more layer of Mod Podge on top of cardstock.
6. Seal the cardstock with Hard Coat Mod Podge (so stinky, but non-toxic!).
See you next Wednesday!
-Abbie
