My husband and I have been craving Apple Pie Apples from Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory for a long, long time.
Today, we just couldn't take it anymore and decided to try to make our own.
It was so much fun and so delicious!
Not only did we make our own "Apple Pie Apples", we made some covered in Oreos, Heath chunks, Sour Patch Kids, and even Reeces Pieces. The Reeces one didn't make the picture above.
Why, you ask? Because he ended up looking like this.

(I highly suggest letting the caramel sit a few seconds before trying to make Reeces Pieces stick. Ya know, just a little word to the wise, here.)
This "project" was so much fun. I loved every second of it (alright, minus the part where I burnt my finger...That always seems to happen to me, doesn't it?). So! I have decided that one day a week, I'll add in a little cooking/baking "craft" into the mix of posts. Believe me, I am not the best chef ever... But, it should be fun.
Now...Do you want an apple?

I sense my waist is about to expand!! No more buttons for me!! Those look so yummy!! I have to make sure I don't let me kids see this post or I will be forced to make an obscene amount. And of course, I would have to taste them first. Quality control, you know?!? I am looking forward to your food posts. Goodness knows my diet will be very, VERY happy to read them!! :0)
