Play Ball!

I've been working on a "quiet book" for my nephew's Christmas present. So far, I'm lovin' how it's turning out.

Here's one of the five pages I have done so far.

It doesn't look perfect by any means. In fact, I kind of like it that way. All my pages are hand sewn and I sort of just made up the patterns as I went.

On this particular page, it's set up so that he can stick his hand in the mitt, and also take the baseball off of the snap and put it "into" the mitt like he's catching the ball. I think he'll love this page!

I have a feeling that once this quiet book is all completed, I'm going to have a hard time giving it away. We'll see!

Cute! I had so much fun making quite books for my kids, but I love your page ideas. Boston would love that!

Cuteness! And as a perfectionist in recovery who has denied myself permission to mess up to the point of not doing crafts or sewing at all for years, I think it's actually beneficial to give our kids, families, friends things that are obviously NOT perfect, to give them permission to just go at it. That's just my take on it.
