My Little Pixies Shop

How cute is this ice cream hair clip El wore to her party?

I fell in love with it the first time I saw it on My Little Pixies  (I also fell in love with the price).

I love that the ice cream cone barrette tied in the bright color theme with the ice cream thing and really brought every thing together.

I couldn't have been more excited when it came in the mail.
It was so professionally made and I was amazed at the amount of detail that she put in to it.

Plus--I ordered it on a Monday (a holiday) and I got it on Friday morning. Such great news for a slacker like me!

Be sure to go check out My Little Pixies shop for more amazing bows. You will be blown away!

Summer Inspirations Romper

For El's birthday pictures, I was lucky enough to try out a cute little Petti Romper from Summer Inspirations.

It was really hard to pick from the 22 available colors, but I was finally able to narrow it down between dark coral and aqua. Seriously, one of the hardest decisions I've made in a while! :)

I was super impressed by the quality of the romper and how comfortable it was for my little girl to wear. I expected the lace to be itchy and rough, but instead it was stretchy and surprisingly soft. I

Not to mention, it looked AMAZING in person and in pictures.

My next purchase from them?
The lace shorts!

(I was given a romper in exchange for images, a review, and advertising space. All opinions are solely mine)

Phrozen Soft Serve

I just wanted to take a second to gush about Phrozen Soft Serve.

When I started planning El's birthday party (I think she was about four months old at the time. Oops! I'm crazy)...I was having the hardest time coming up with themes.

I knew I wanted to go all out for her party because 1) she took us forever to conceive, and 2) I like parties. So, when I came across Phrozen Soft Serve's site, I knew right then and there that I had to have an ice cream machine at her party.

Having that theme in place made the rest of the party planning a breeze.
Only...I was super stressed out about getting that huge machine to the party.

Luckily, Ryan at Phrozen Soft Serve had that all planned out. You should have seen the amazing trailer he drove the machine up in. Plus, he helped me set the machine up and make sure it was all working before the party started.

He took the time to explain the machine to me and he was very personable. Hearing him talk about his company made me even more excited to try out his machine!

For the ice cream, I chose Vanilla and Chocolate Frozen yogurt. It was really good, and I am really glad we went with that choice. I had a lot of people mention to me that it was some of the best frozen yogurt they had ever had.

The best part was that the machine made so much. We were able to feed everyone at the party, plus have even more people over once the party ended. Sure we may have been creepy inviting all the neighborhood kids over, but they loved it!

Are you in the Utah area?
Keep Phrozen Soft Serve in mind for your next event!

Etsy Shop Alert! In the Clear

After I posted about the party, I knew I needed to gush about a few shops.
Part of me wanted to keep them all my little secret, but then I remembered that that wouldn't be fair to all you lovely readers. Dang.
_______

So, first up?
InTheClear

You have heard me talk about InTheClear so many times before (like here and here). That's because most of my party supplies came from them.

They have the most beautiful things ranging from washi tape to wooden spoons. Really, this place is your affordable one stop party shop.

I was so blown away with the amount I was able to order for the price that I paid.

Here are a few things from InTheClear's shop that I am eyeing right now.
1. 2. 3. 4. 5.

**Although I did receive a 10% discount on product, all opinions in this post are mine. None of that sugar coating mumbo jumbo. I just love this shop!**

Party Time

I hope you all brought your party hats, because it's time to get down.
(Sorry about that first sentence. Let's start over.)

Basically, I have a million photos from the party.
My photographer had to bail on us last second, but luckily I have a fancy camera and a really nice friend (Casey) who was willing to help me out. We both just went around shooting with our cameras, and between the two of us, we got all the shots that we needed. Phew! Crisis averted.

When you first walked into the party, this is what you saw.

Instead of getting a bunch of tables, we opted for the (cheap) alternative. Blankets! It was fun to have the party blanket style and I think it helped people interact with each other a little better. At least I hope?

Then, moving right along, there was the drink table.

We served water, punch, and Lemonade. We were going to make other cool drinks, but time just slipped away from us. I still like how it turned out and I love the yellow chevron back drop (which is really just a huge thing of fabric from fabric.com).

Next to the drink table, we had the sliders and fries table.

This was Tyler's baby. He has always wanted to be a caterer (and after the party, we're thinking he's going to go back to school for it...So really, if you are looking for a cheap (but amazing) chef for a party call him. He's the best.)

His food was delicious. I'll prove it in pictures in a minute.
First, I have to show you the coolest part of the party. The ice cream machine.

Is that not just the greatest thing you have ever seen?
Ryan from Phrozen Soft Serve completely hooked us up with the greatest chocolate and vanilla frozen yogurt I have ever tasted.

Ready to go more in depth?

Let's start with Eloise's dress.

Isn't it perfect for the whole color scheme? I kind of planned the entire party around it, and I think it turned out so great. Her dress is from Liddie Mae Designs and it couldn't have been more great.

And, ready to zoom in to the sweetest little ice cream bow you will ever see?

I love that it was made out of bright felts and tied in the whole ice cream theme as well. This little gem is from My Little Pixies shop.

For drinks, I just ordered sauce bottles online. They were fairly inexpensive, and I love that they added a little bit more than just a plastic cup or something.

I added washi tape and cute little straws from In The Clear.

I also wrapped the ice cream cups with ribbon from that cute little shop, and dipped some ice cream cones in chocolate and candy to add a little visual interest.

The cake was also a huge hit.

We just ordered a chocolate circle cake from Costco ($16), but asked for it to be frosted in white with no decoration.
Then, I covered it in lots of m&ms. Easy and cute.

Since most the kids at her party were still a little young for actual games, we just set up a hopscotch mat and sidewalk chalk for the kiddies to play with. There were also a few other random toys to keep them entertained.

We also let the kids hit the pinata I made, and it was so cute watching all of them take their turns and run for the candy and toys once it was broken.

Of course, the adults had to have a little fun with the scraps.

For food (as I mentioned earlier)--Tyler made sliders and fries. I was blown away by how cute it ended up. I made the cute little fry bags, but other than that, the food was all his.

To hold up the fries, Tyler thought of the brilliant idea to use a cooling rack. Isn't he awesome? Of course, we had to spray paint it to match the color scheme, though!

Baby E loved her gifts, and was more than happy to give out her party favors (crayons shaped as ice cream cones, easy!) to all her friends.

Overall, the party was a huge success. Eloise loved every second of it!

Want proof? Here she is right after every one left.

Cuteness Overload

Ready for cuteness picture overload?
Here are a few pictures from El's birthday shoot.
We went to a friend's orchard and our other friend, Kim Aldrich, took the pictures.

She was nice enough to give me all the unedited ones so that I could see all the millions of pictures she took (note: I did the editing on the ones below because I couldn't find the ones she edited until after I uploaded all these on to the post.)

Isn't her fascinator perfect? Bree from cocorosecouture made it for her!

Isn't this romper adorable? I'm planning on posting allll about it really soon. But, for now? Here's a link to buy one of your own.

(she ate her cake like this most of the time so her hands wouldn't get too dirty)

And. here's an instagram picture for ya.

Whew.
Next up? The party!
