Free Handed Freezer Paper Stenciling

The other day, I saw this post from Disney at Ruffles and Stuff. She admitted to just trying out freezer paper stenciling, and gushed about how simple it was.
So, I decided to give it a go.

You know me, though. I hate playing by the rules. So, instead I just freehanded a design with my scissors and ironed on all the little pieces one by one.

I was amazed at how easy it was, and how fun it is to customize things!

And look, baby girl even loves it! Can't beat that, right?

(ignore my sloppy stair right there! We're in the process of fixing stuff up around here)

Throwing a Baby Shower

Thanks everyone for your kind words about my dad. They really meant so much to me.
__

Back when my friend Heather found out she was pregnant, I insisted that I would throw her a baby shower.
Unfortunately...I am a huge procrastinator and saved all the planning until the last second.

It's not that I didn't want to throw her the shower (I did!), it's just baby E had been sick all week and insisted I cuddle her at all times. Which, meant nothing was getting done.

Thankfully, my mom came to the rescue. She brought over five huge boxes of decorations (from my sister's beautiful wedding) and let me go crazy with them.

The house looked so great! I totally forgot to take pictures of everything. But, here are a few!

I especially loved this coffee filter garland I made. I was pretty proud of myself for contributing something to the decor.

I also made these printable "wishes for baby" papers for people to fill out. I saw the idea on Pinterest, and I loved the idea!

I didn't really have anything major planned to do at the shower...I just set up a bow making station and we were good to go!

I love how everything turned out.

Have you ever recycled decor from another party?
