First, I just want to say thank you to all of you who commented or emailed me welcoming me back. It feels absolutely wonderful to be posting again. Man, I’ve missed you guys.
Now, onto the nursery reveal.
When I originally finished baby girl’s nursery, I absolutely hated it. I told the readers on my family blog numerous times that looking at it made me want to cry. Since then, I have gotten over those silly feelings and have grown to love the space that we have created for our little gal.
So anyway, here’s the before picture.
Yikes, right? This room used to be my craft room (may it R.I.P.), and obviously I never got around to doing anything special with it. I guess that’s what happens when you deal with fertility issues. I was seriously always thinking “there’s no use in fixing that room up…NEXT month I’ll get a positive test and it’ll need to be a nursery anyway”…Sure, it took a few years-but now that room finally gets to be used for what it was intended for-And that makes me stinkin’ happy.
And, here’s the finished product from the same view.
This view makes me really happy because it reminds me how much my hard work paid off. Almost everything you see in this picture was painted by my husband and me (minus the crib)… We seriously did this entire room on a killer budget. More on that in a second!
For now, I’ll just keep showing you pictures!
